Don't feel bad, photography isn't my strong suit, either. If the 1874 is in G, you maybe have $10-15, there. The others, anywhere from $1-5, deduct for any damage. That's how they look to these old eyes. BTW, Happy Birthday, yesterday. That's a nice birthday present, you got a nice variety of them.

PS: Can I borrow your dad the next time I go to the flea market?

sounds like you got a good deal--now put them in an album

Doing that as we speak. Just needed to catalogue and find the value.

Thanks! Yeah, I thought it was a nice little surprise in a bag of coins I thought was just going to be "album filler".

Much better than I would have imagined for flea market bargain box coins. $10 is a rip!

The 1874 could be a G6--easily worth $15

i'd like to see a close up of the 1874 - I suspect that might be in a slightly better condition than just Good.

Slap the 74 on ebay. Start at .99 cents and watch what happens.

Here is a close up on the 1874 and 1899. The 1899 is the coin, that I think, is in the best condition (even taking in to consideration the slight stain).

Oh I like that 1899, nice strike on that one. You might be able to clean it up a bit with some Verdi-Care.

the 74 is attractive & problem free - should go for solid G6 money. the 99 has problems as stated by 52Raymo.

Where abouts would I get Verdi-Care? Would a super store such as Wal-mart carry it?

verdi care is on ebay for sure
don't sell them - album, one day to your son and grandson - not a bad heirloom for $10
happy belated birthday
nice coins and even nicer father

FYI - "front" = Obverse, "back" = Reverse - might as well learn the lingo if your getting in the game

Hi, Delareece, Nice pick up for $10.00.

Yeah, like the others said, the 1874 is probably your best coin, looks G6 about right, and Happy Birthday also.

Dearly noted ;)

I wasn't planning on selling them anyways. Just wanted to know the value. I'm fairly young (turned 20), so I still have many years ahead to make my collection grow. I already have, I'd estimate, over 1000 coins from around the world (not all are catalogued yet, however).

Decent start to a IHC collection, and your Dad got a good buy,
The 1899 looks VF-35 to me, the 1874 looks VG-8.
