I agree that it may be a PL but I am just not quite sure if both sides are PL. I guess it could grade either MS-65 or 66 and possibly PL as well. I am eager to see the results as it is a beautiful coin!

this is as large as I can keep them because the image optimizer shrinks them, the images are off my ipad, is there anyway to downsize the file size before I send it from there

I'm going to agree with 1893S and call it 65, with a shot at 66 because the fields are so nice. NGC would probably call it 65* because the obverse certainly looks PL to me.

Keep in mind, though, with this issue that grade still leaves you with a coin worth less than $200. They come easy in high grades. NGC and PCGS together have slabbed over 25,000 higher than MS65, which is ridiculous even if you factor resubmissions. Those aren't likely since it's about the cheapest MS66 Morgan you can buy.

As regards the image sizer, drop Bobby an email or post a thread in the Support forum asking for the free Gallery that CCF members of your seniority are eligible for. This will greatly ease your image limitations, and it seems worth it because your iPad, in typical Apple fashion, sure looks to have one heck of a mobile camera.

Crop your images as close to the coin as you can, 800px square or the largest you can do, and save them at slightly-reduced quality. 300-400kb isn't unrealistic.

Edited to add: Just noticed you were in need of editing assistance. I'm not an Apple guy and can't help; hopefully someone else can offer a decent iPad image editor.

Thanks for the help SsuperDdave, ya the iPad has a pretty amazing camera on it, but the images are almost 2mb lol!
So the pictures do take quite a hit on quality and size.
I am just waiting on a few other coins I have purchased and then off they will go to get graded so will probably be about a month.
Cheers and have a great rest of your holidays

I'd call MS-65, I've had quite a few 66's and a couple 67's over the years, while not rare, this one IMO falls shy of 66 territory. Just too many tiny ticks around the neck/jaw line area. I don't think it would make PL either.

I was just curious. I doubt I can get a pic like that with mine. I thought that you must have the macro lens you can buy for them. I was just looking at them on ebay.

from the updated pictures my first thought looks to be correct, the Obverse looks PL but I think the Reverse falls short. I agree with the MS-65 grade on this one also and NGC may give it a star because of the Obverse PL fields as SsuperDave said which would make it a little more valuable than a regular MS-65 from PCGS, that is if they give it the star. So if it were mine and I was going to submit it this is one of those rare cases that I would pick NGC over PCGS in hopes of receiving the star
