The left arm of the "Y" is thicker. Similar strength of doubling to 2012P-1DO-001, but opposite arms.

Silver Searcher, if there is doubling in the date, I am not seeing it.

I'd probably send it to Bob Piazza of coppercoins....it looks to be as strong as the 001 they have listed....and it's only a few bucks to find out for sure.

Kasey, the glare might be what your seeing. I cant get a focused picture without using the flash, and the flash is murder on these new shield cents. The doubling is extra thickness that can be seen in "Liberty".

I found another 2012 doubled die in the same $25 box, and it looks to be from the same die. Even found a die marker to prove it. It is a small die chip near the "G" in "God".

Maineman, is coppercoins.com still being updated, I thought I read on this forum that the website would remain up but would not be updated?

I will be sending the coin to Bob Piazza. I contacted him and he informed me that the site is still being updated with new finds and will be updated in the future. Which is wonderful news!

willy13...sorry but didn't see your post (next time PM) but yes, Bob is a good guy to deal with and I know him from another forum.Good luck on this one, the lighting can trick you on BU coins, but I think it's a good one.
