It's really ashamed the design will be different next year. I think this one is a keeper. I also liked the orginal reverse design with the eagle. This series would be perfect if there were no edge lettering. Some denticals would be kinda cool...lol

I agree with the OP.

I like the Native American dollars but hate the date and mintmark on the edge. Move it back to the obverse!

Im not really a fan of this series but I do really like the reverse of the 2012 one and that the Eagle was a great choice.

I also hate the edge lettering for the dollar coins.

The 1 thing I dont really understand is why they are making these and the Presidential dollars the exact same. A little size or color variation between the two would be nice

I did the Littleton Coin deal for the P&D Native Americans over the last 4 years... 8 dollar coins for $8... I really like the coins and am so happy regardless of the great price. I hope you enjoy yours too!

I just received my 2009 - 2013 set from LCC for face value and free shipping. Unfortunately, I was limited to one set. I really wanted two sets for my collection, so I may have to pay a bit of a premium for the other set. These are pretty nice coins. I really like the 2013 design.

I think all of the Native American designs are superior to the Presidential dollar designs. The 2012 reverse is my favorite. I buy a couple of each from a local dealer for $1.50 each. A small premium for nice coins that you can't get elsewhere.

But I am still scratching my head on why the mint moved the date and mintmark from the obverse to the edge. It makes no sense to me. Move it back!

I totally agree with moving the date and mint mark back to the obverse. The date is somewhat apparent from the reverse design, but one has to look on the edge to find the mint mark which is means handling the coin to get the edge just right to be able to see it. Sometimes I even have to get a magnifying glass to see it. What a pain! And it takes a lot of extra time. I have the same beef with the Presidential dollars. I agree, move it back!!

I received mine from LCC and although I like the designs very much I'm a little disappointed with the "BU" condition. Scratches and some gouges on the coins. If I paid anymore than face they would be going back. They are good enough for a folder.

Oh... I'm not a fan of the edge date and mint mark either.
