I see the listing ended prematurely - the seller probably needed his 'rare' bill to pay for his pizza delivery.

I was not aware of this Vimy memorial...

To me, this statement is the real tragedy... I hope the stories of our veterans, and the memorials we erect to honour them, are never forgotten.

It all starts with education. I don't remember ever being told about this memorial during any of my schooling.

I give the Bank of Canada an A+ for putting a picture of the Vimy monument on the new $20 bill. Many folks I know never heard of it until they saw it on the $20 bill and then google it to get more information on it.

I would be very surprised to see the BOC remove it to appease a few puritanical morons over our under appreciated Canadian veterans.

Exactly what is wrong about tasteful nude art? We are so sheltered these days it's sickening...

reminds me of the 1955 'strapless' effigy. The die was changed to make the shoulder strap more prominent so Our Queen wouldn't appear inappropriate

SPP , You misunderstood me .I spent 4 years in the Military and several of my Uncles were in the big one....what I meant was on the bill...I never looked at it closely to realize what the pic was

With Libertad, to me what's obscene is seeing someone who's been blown to pieces in a news broadcast from the war in Iraq! Seeing a beautiful woman depicted on our Canadian currency is not only a work of Art, but a tribute to the greatest part of our Humanity...........Women!

(after all, without them life would seize to exist!)

The ebay seller is fake! Sure you can say that on ebay and make a few bucks but the fact is that is how the actual memorial looks like. A focus group said and I quote "It's too pornographic" that is all that has appeared on Google with the 20$ bills. Its just fake.

I like how they say this leave is not native to Canada, and look at the woman on the same piece of banknote, native of Canada? Hmmm!
