I would prefer an 1857, and one that looks more even like the reverse. But this one is a decent price (i think) and it doesn't look to bad when I look at it more and more.

Very nice! Appears to have lots of luster with maybe just the slightest bit of rub on the chest. My guess is AU-58 but would not be too surprised if it got graded MS.

Its ok, I find the series hard to grade sonetimes. A lot of flying eagles got poorly struck. You can find ms examples that have no visible tail feathers. I wanted to find one with good details all throughout.

I don't believe this can be an MS coin, too much wear on breast and high points on the wreath. AU-55

Okay guys. It was graded au55 by pcgs. I agree with the grade. Definitely some wear on the coin, most noticeable on the chest feathers. I appreciate all three guesses and the input!

I think it's accurately graded. Personally, I find the obverse to be really attractive.

I think I might pass on this one even though I really want it. I hate paying sales tax on coins :/

It's on ebay for $335, and it's on his own website for $320. I would not mind paying $320 at all but then after tax it is $345. He said he would dock off $5 for me which would bring it to $340, but that's still more expensive than if someone in another state just bought it off ebay right now. That's kind of annoying. That's why I like to find online sellers not in my state. It's also run me away from heritage, because I have to factor in tax as well when bidding :(
