With that much clipping, could argue a hammered penny from Richard II to Henry VII. What makes you think Henry VII?

Seriously, look at some Henry VI pennies; it won't be so clear.

Can it be this one? It's the only one I can find with the rose in the middle. Henry VI penny S1939 1454 London [dots by crown] and on reverse G rare

The 4-lobed hole at the center of the cross makes it a "voided" cross, and is a pretty common feature.

Looking at the reverse, I believe I can read TAS from 9 o'clock to 12 o'clock, and I believe the quarter from 12 to 3 o'clock ends in O. This would make the legend CIVI TAS EBO RACI, or, the York mint.

And this is going out on a limb, but if TAS is where I think it is, I may see something before the T that looks like the bottom point of a diamond-shaped figure called a mascle. This would make it even more likely that Henry VI is the monarch. http://www.ukdfd.co.uk/ukdfddata/sh...2435&cat=all

The value is going to be quite modest I think - probably less than 5 Pounds each.
