Very nice looking set. If I ever start to collect the State Quarter series, it likely would be the silver proofs b/c I not only like the looks of the coins, but I like the idea of them appreciating in value rather than depreciating like clad is doomed to. II have nothing against people wanting the clads or anything - they sure make a large, varied-looking set. Its just my personal preference. Until recently getting an album that includes proofs up to around the year 2000, I was stopping my WQ collection at 98. Now I will probably just stop at the end of the album. Maybe the generic Dansco quarter album may find itself being filled with silver proofs for the Statehoods etc.

I bought this Clad Proof Set in 2009 (for the Copper Cents!). These are the 2009 Clad Proof Quarters: I'm not going to pull a jbuck and crack an intact full Proof Set just for the Quarters. No need to when I can go on ebay and buy a 2009 Proof Territory Quarters Set with box/COA for $12 including shipping. Quote: ...depreciating like clad is doomed to. Original combined issue prices for the 1999 through 2009 Clad Proof Quarters (box/COA) Sets = $160.45 What I paid for these 1999-2009 Clad Proof Quarters Sets = $62.00. Just like with a used car, I avoided the biggest depreciation hit. Ironically, if silver has a long run upward in the future, that's when I think Clad Proofs would finally rise. $100/oz. would price a lot of people out of collecting Silver Proofs, and would motivate many others to sell their Silver Proof Sets and buy Clad Sets to replace them, increasing the demand for Clads. So, it is possible we are close to a "bottom-out" point for Clads, and if not, at least I didn't pay anywhere near the original issue prices for these Quarters.

The last four holes (after the 2009's) are now filled with impaired Clad Proof Quarters that I found in my change. Quote: He'd need to get the add-on page for that If you want the Territories Quarters labeled like basebal21 prefers, you can get this updated page. Myself, I like the symmetry of the original-design last page having the same 20-hole pattern as the first two pages.

Very nice. I have been looking around for this album for my silver proof quarters. I suppose I will grab the National Park one as well and keep it updated each year.

I was forced to get the proof issue Danscos for the State and ATB Quarters because I had to have something to put the other proofs in after I broke the rest of the set open for my other Danscos. Forced I tell you. Hehehehehe

Here's Page 3, now completely filled. All six 2009 Clad Proof Quarters, and four impaired Clad Proof Quarters I received in my change. Total cost for the coins in this album (including all 1999-2009 boxes/COA's, and 10-lens Mint storage box) = $63

Sweet dude! And I don't know about anyone else, but when I think of D.C., I ALWAYS think of Duke Ellington before anything else. (insert eye rolling icon here) I mean if that is all those idiots could come up with for the capitol of this country, they really don't deserve to become a state.

I'm doing the same. At first I thought of silver proofs for the same reasons, but then decided on clad proofs. The only thing is I don't have is my album yet. I'm thinking of going "old school" and use a Whitman album (Carl is smiling). I like the blue look. By the way, this wasn't one of my 2013 goals. It took me 16 days to get off track. Quote:1. Reeded Bust Half for my 7070 2. 1914-D Lincoln Cent3. A few Indian Head cents and Buffalo nickels I don't have 4. Sell a bunch of stuff to finance 1-3

I did the same thing, and filled it with silver proofs. I have the updated version of the album, which contains two blank holes. I filled those with the other two reverse designs - a pre-1965 silver proof and a bicentennial silver proof.

I have done that with both quarter sets also. I started with the regular dansco for the statehood and the ATB Quarters (non-proof for both albums) which holds the P&D coins, then I liked the look of the ATB proofs so much that I decided to get a date set dansco to put them in. With the State Quarter proofs being pretty cheap I went back and bought all of those too. I didn't want to hassle with removing all the coins from my non-proof danscos to put them in the dansco that has business strikes and proof coins together, so I just put the proofs in the date set dansco. I really like the look of all those proof coins next to each other. I don't collect too many proof coins, but I really like the details and the look of the quarters as proof coins.

That's really cool DNA I would like to have all mine in one complete album as well for easy and convenient viewing but I'm afraid of cracking all of my silver state qtrs because they might get scratches from doing that.
