PCGS Graded Ikes - Where To Buy?

I have a complete mint-state PCGS Ike set (all 34), and I paid just under $900 to complete it. I got the entire proof run (PF69) for $27.00 each, which I think was a really good price. I bought every single coin on ebay. The most expensive was, of course, the 1972 Type II, and I paid $89.00 for an MS-62. I started a thread about this set a while ago, but here is a group shot again:

I'm going to shoot for MS-65 on the clad business strikes (except for the 1972 Type 2) and MS-67 on the silver business strikes. Proofs will be PR-69DCAM. Any advice?

Ikecollector84- for me, ebay was the best place to buy because for each date/mm there were so many to choose from. If I didn't like any particular piece, I would just wait a day or two to see what new items had popped up. I never even searched other websites. I didn't really think about it. Also, be on the lookout for complete 11 coin proof sets on ebay. I got mine for $300, which came to $27.00 per coin. I probably could have got some of those cheaper individually, but I wanted them all in one shot. They are all PR69DCAM, and they are really nice. I would also suggest getting the 1972 type 2 at a lower grade at first (MS-62 or MS-63) and upgrade later. The '72 T2 stats to get really expensive at MS-64. Personally, I wanted to complete my set first and foremost, and then possibly do major upgrades later.

When I am looking for something specific, I do just that be specific.

Eaxample: I am looking for a 1982 No P Roosevelt dime in a PCGS Slab in MS condition; (1982 no P Roosevelt PCGS MS)

Sure you will get ta few stragelers in, but it narrows down a lot of the garbage.

I would use "Eisenhower PCGS (or whatever slab you are looking for)" and see where that gets you. If it that does not provide useful results, back up, reword and search again.

Well ikecollector, I have no real advice for you. But I must say, Darth's has quite a collection! Although I can only see a few pics on cc's collection, the grades are sure impressive.

How long did it take you guys to put these sets together?

I started and finished my set last year, and it took around 8 months. My set isn't nearly as nice as cc99999's, but I thank you guys for the positive comments on my set. I am very proud of it. As I said previously, my next endeavor is to start adding varieties to my collectin- starting with the 1971-D "Friendly Eagle". Man, I can't wait for that Ike book to come out this summer!
