With regards to the 1838 Bust half that was sold and relisted, I asked him the following:
Dear dwb9242,
I noticed that you sold a coin like this last month and now this one is a re-listed one, is this the exact coin I will receive?
- r********
Below was his response I just received, copied and pasted: Dear r*******,
What you see is what you get. If I iuse a stock photo I make a notation in the description.
Thanks for yiour interest and your keen eye.
Regards
David

hmmm, not the most customer friendly response... If it was a relist, he shouldn't have a problem saying so.
And no reply to arcticsparky's question I assume?

I was thinking he would say something like that about re-listing it because someone returned it, etc. I also noticed that he has many typos and some listings are obviously slabbed but he doesn't show the top portion of the slab as if hiding something. Many of his pictures are not that great either.

Yeah I noticed that too. Why not show the whole slab if the coin is problem free? Just seems like a shady thing to do. that, and the fact that many of his pictures are blurry.
I actually bought two coins from this guy, that's how I stumbled upon him. Right after the purchase, one of the coins "went missing" from his inventory. So who knows how many times he has sold that particular coin.
So why did I buy from this guy despite his shady tactics? I really wanted the coins and didn't think much about it at the time

epikur: That's true. Did he refund you the money or go through Paypal?
Articsparky: when I asked him last night he responded within a few minutes, which I was surprised how fast it was.

You asked about a different coin. Maybe he didn't want to say anything about the 1833.

I agree with those that say it is the same coin. Check the shape of the dark areas on the fields.

He did refund me the one coin he "lost", so no worries there.

They avoided the question, you should avoid them.

Update on this story.. I did buy two coins from this seller, and one was "missing from his inventory" the second one did get a tracking id on March 6th, but only to the point of "Electronic shipping info received" That was SIX days ago. So I doubt I will ever see the coin. Asked for a refund, which he said he would do if nothing had happened with the tracking on the 12th.
Let's see what happens. For all that I know, he will keep the $ I paid for shipping.
Now to my dilemma; This guy is wirth nothing else than 2 fat negative feedbacks. But if I give him that, he will surely retaliate and give me neg as well.
What to do?

Epikur, it's been years since I've had to neg someone, so maybe someone here with more experience than I have can offer a reply, but--I think you could dispute that feedback.

Only buyers can leave negative feedback. Sellers can only leave positive feedback.

Yep, same coin. Yep, something shady about the seller.
