I live in Illinois. Shell gas stations, McDonald's and (I think) Wal-mart.

GoldRush: Why bother with roll searching? You are ahead of the game anyway! Your handle 'GoldRush' is OK. Only one problem with it. It is a bit too late. You should have been at Suttors Mill way back in 1849, with THAT sort of luck! Folks with that sort of luck in Australia are known as 'tin arses'

GoldRush,
Wow that is some luck! Also you must have good vision. I've never found that much silver in change in one week.

Wow!! Are you serious? Great finds! Someone must have broken into grandpa's coin jar and is spreading the wealth in your area.

Funny you say that caps. My first foray into silver was while at work. Some young putz must have stolen his parent's coin collection because he paid for a 6 dollar pack of cigarettes with 6 Silver eagles. "Hey, they say One Dollar on them." Boob.

Yes, it does sound like a case of "sticky fingers". I'd be for going to all the places you've scored, & make purchases where you can super-size your change. Dollar menu gets you nearly a buck in change. Lawn mower gas, go over about 11c on a bucks worth of gas, etc. This wont last forever, so take advantage. It would be a terrible moral dilema to run into the spender, though. I think I'd have to try to find out who's stash he got into. Happened to me a couple times, & wish someone had told me.

fioti, the stuff I've found over the last 3 weeks has all been different places. The only time I was pretty sure a thievery went down was when the dunce paid with Silver Eagles. THIS stuff has just been crazy good luck.
