Real or fake, both never seen for its scarcity. The lustre of your coin looks odd, it looks really like a cast forgery but the weight and diameter should be correct. Can you show the edge of this coin?

no this coin is a bit underweight and a bit to small.in diameter. what´s about the thickness?

Interestingly Davenport illustrates one with exactly the same concentric ring marring the obverse near the outer rim. A real one should have a slanted reeded or ornamental edge

I've searched the web trying to find a fake but couldn't find one. Given the wear I would say it is overweight. Thickness 2mm  |

it might be made of something like a tin-lead alloy.

That ties up with my rough calculation of 11 g / cm3 if it's mainly lead, thanks

If you look at the post from platinrubel 5/12/2013 11:05 a.m., you will see a side-by-side comparison of real and fake. The palm leaves, lettering, etc. are all quite different if you study the photos. and  |
