Matthew, if you have been to the show before do you know of any specific dealers who come with Canadian coins. Maybe a few binders or long boxes? I'm sure beiign relatively close to the Boarder there will be some dealers carrying some stock!

Jey,

Can't say that I know of any specific dealers who have a large stock of Canadian coins.
When a list of dealers is posted on the NH Coin Expo site I will go through it to see if
I recognize anyone.

Yesterday I received two BIG boxes of coins from Bobby, our forum dad.
If any of the CCF attendees have local shows that they attend I can pass out a dozen to each
to hand out to kids. Have already asked for permission to do so.
Also, I will given a dozen to each of two dealers this Sunday at the show who have impressed me
with how they speak to kids. Not all dealers do so, so I favor those who do. And I'll keep a few in my pocket to hand out as well.

I am waiting for the "room discount to attendees of Coin Show" before booking.
As the time grows closer, I would ask the hotel to put all of us on the same floor so that we can continue the "party"
into the wee hours. To do so, I would need the name under which you book. But later is soon enough for this.

I am SO psyched up for this show!

Special Room Rate

The Radisson Hotel is the host hotel and is conveniently located off Exit 5 on Interstate 293, Manchester, New Hampshire. When making reservations, please tell them you will be attending the "coin show" to get the special $114.00/night room rate (Single/Double). We have secured this rate from Wednesday night, 10/2 through Saturday night, 10/5. You can not get this rate online, so be sure to call them to make your reservations. Avoid a sell out and book early.

Ha! Last year the special rate was $109. Oh well...

A first draft of a presentation to be given before passing out the coins to the kids:

Thank you for the opportunity to tell you all about an Internet site called Coin Community Family.

Now of course there is no substitute for attending a coin show in person. You have the chance
to examine many thousands of coins and to speak with dealers. Being able to hold different examples in your hands
will teach you much. And asking your questions and getting answers is part of the journey to understanding coins.
But attending a coin show is not always possible. Parents and guardians: how often does a young numismatist
ask you a question and you do not have an answer? Where do you find the answer?
The Internet is a logical place to look. But how do you navigate the many sites available? And which ones are geared to selling you a product instead of educating you? Let me tell you about ourselves.
Started in 2005, the Coin Community Family is indeed a family of coin collectors for all parts of the world.
We gather together to teach each each other and to learn from each other. The depth and scope of knowledge among us is
without equal and, more importantly, we like to share that knowledge.
Our members have donated many coins to be given to the young collectors among us. Each one of you will receive some, along with our Internet address. We invite you to join us.
Thank you and enjoy the Expo!

Jey,
Some have provided a link to their sites. You could ask them directly.
I can do a quick survey on Thursday to help you zero in on those dealers with Canadian Coins.
[Lest you get disappointed, I'll bring my Canadian coins for you to look through.
A few prior to 1920. At least it would make me happy that you repatriate them.
Price would be very reasonable.]
Beyond that. I am at a loss.
Oh. I made reservations. $118 plus change for the cheapest rate. Let me know if your room costs more.
I'll arrive on Thursday and leave on Sunday.
On parle francais.

Jey,
I have a lead for you. Ken Viets from Wethersfield, CT. I spoke with him today. His inventory is 98%+ foreign coins
and he will be in Manchester in October. He does have Canadian coins and enough to make a search through his boxes worthwhile for you. His email is:
jfoot13@aol.com
If you have specific wants it would not hurt to ask him in advance.

He told me that one or two Canadian dealers have attended the show in the past. Not every dealer asks to be listed, so I will have to do a quick survey on Thursday prior to get more names for you. But I get good vibrations from Ken.

I am SO looking forward to this yearly treat for me!

Would love to go.... unfortunately it is also on the same dates as the Toronto Coin Expo...

I hate when coin shows, that I can drive to, conflict...

New Hampshire Coin & Currency Expo
October 4-5, 2013

Friday & Saturday
Radisson Hotel - Center of New Hampshire
700 Elm Street
Manchester NH

Our premier show is this coming weekend. We have over 100 tables and 80+ dealers from all over New England, NY, NJ and as far away as Tennesse, Texas, and Nebraska! Many of these dealers do not do the local monthly shows so you really should plan to attend as you will see new and fresh material from all over the country.

We have dealers that specialize in Tokens/Medals, Errors, Ancients, Foreign Coins and Paper Money as well as many US Coin and Bullion dealers.

On Friday we are pleased to announce that Charles Browne, A former professional grader for PCGS will be giving a 1-2 hour seminar on grading coins. A great presentation that is always well attended. We know collectors take the day off work on Friday to come to the show, so plan on sitting in with Charlie too!

We have 2 guest speakers Saturday, one on Civil War Currency, and the other on Investing in Precious Metals for Physical Possession.

Our world famous Children's program will be from 10:30 to 12:45 on Saturday with free pizza.

This year, we also have exhibits on Hobo Nickels and Love Tokens, as well as over SIX CASES of the Finest Seated dimes in the World including many rarities.

We have representatives from ANACS at the show, see their web site for a great monthly special. An auction preview by Small Cents Auctions will be present on Friday and Saturday as well.

4 clubs including the New England Numismatic Association (NENA), The Nashua Coin Club, The Barber Coin Collector's Society and The Liberty Seated Collectors Club will also be present and holding open meetings and presentations. Bring your Barber and Seated material for show and tell!

There is plenty of parking in the garage, and we validate parking so be sure to bring in your ticket. Parking for 12 hours is just $5.00!

Visit our web site for list of guest speakers, dealer list, and a discount admission coupon!

Follow us on Twitter and Facebook under EBWPromotions.

Hope to see you there!
