It's definitely a vise job.If it was a brokerage the secondary image of the memorial bldg would be on the obverse side of the coin.

Quote: I looked up "convex" and one definition was "bulging." Could you clarify your distinction? My apologies. As some people know, I had a heart attack and open heart surgery just under three weeks ago. I am hopped up on pain pills. I meant to say concave, not convex. Look at the example on this page http://error-ref.com/brockage--full.htmlQuote: It's definitely a vise job.If it was a brokerage the secondary image of the memorial bldg would be on the obverse side of the coin. Another very valid point. I will also add that on vise jobs that were made to resemble errors, the person making it often put the coins between two pieces of leather in order for the damage from the vise to be absorbed and not transferred to the outside of the coins.

Quote: Hey good luck with the recovery my dad just went through a triple bypass he was a heavy smoker for years and finally gave it up Thanks. I have your dad beat. I had five bypasses during my surgery. I had never heard of any more than four, but I had five. I am not even a smoker. Just hard living, and a terrible diet. I have also had high blood pressure since I was 16. I never took care of it. My BP is now normal, my weight is falling. I should be starting rehab next week. I hope to be able to return to work in five weeks or so. Until then, it gives me more time to spend with you guys here on CCF.

As others have said, this is a vise job (note the proper spelling of "vise").

I wish you all the best with your recovery. LOL, I did not even notice. Thanks Dave. So I guess this means I have a hard time keeping my mouth shut. Quote: (note the proper spelling of "vise"). If this was done by Crockett and Tubbs, VICE would be the proper spelling.

Seal this is the first time I've heard about you heart troubles.Do you have enough people praying for you or could you use one more?

Can always use one more. My mom has an army, and I do feel it has helped. I heard from one of my coworkers that the inmates at the prison I work at are praying for me as well.

I am pretty particular how I comment, and what subjects I comment on. If there were more Lincoln lovers on here I would most likely have as many posts as you Dave. Is that how you get to be a Mod? Rambling on and on? Or do you have to have a specialty. I have two specialties, Lincoln cents and ebay. Been doing them both for years now.
