Either way it's still a beautiful coin.

Ok I think I have a slightly better picture, I hope. I would really like to believe that the eBayer who sold it to me was honest in his identifying this error.
Here is the new and improved picture:

to CCF. A DDO is a variety not an error but I can't tell from your pics if it is or isn't a DDO,sorry.

It is good to have you here at CCF!

If you could take another pic of the coin out of the 2X2 and let us know where you see the doubling, that might help us.

Hello,

Visualco,

Let me also welcome you to CCF as a new member.

You truly do not need to be a professional photographer to produce informative pictures of coins.

Also, since this forum is currently unaware of the type of photographic equipment used to take these pictures, please allow me to introduce an economical alternative for taking close-up photos of your coin.

A while back I posted multiple shots of suspect characteristics of several coins using a USB camera featured below:

https://goccf.com/t/88598&whichpage=2

If you would like to keep it cheap(approx. $ 30), this camera will produce much more informative close-up photos compared to what has already been uploaded here.

I hope you find this information helpful with your project.

fyi,
mdpmedia

Sorry, I'm just seeing a normal coin from the images provided. Maybe better images would help.

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome, and help. I will try to get some better pictures. In the meantime I did a little research and I could not find a DDO in 1964, But the 1960 Roosevelt did have that variety.
I guess it doesn't look good for my coin.
Thanks again

Try getting a closeup image of the TY on LIBERTY. There maybe something he thought was a doubled die in that area? Or it might be reflection in your image?

Just reflection off the rim. I wonder what he saw to make him think this is a DDO?

OK Coop, I really thought it could have been a DDO. I guess I can't win them all.
Oh well. I appreciate all the input, and I learned a few things along the way.
Thank You for all the help, this is a great forum!
