Thanks for showing me the coin in person Zonad! I like how the plating got over stretched and split when the coin was minted.

Amazing that coin hung out for two years at the mint, maybe stuck in a hopper?....but there it is! Very cool coin.

I wonder if the original struck coin had been annealed for a second time and then struck again would the plating be more intact?

Amazing!
I'm surprised to see the quarter struck on it quite fully.Isn't the cenetisimo the same size as a US cent?

I see denticles as well from the host coin. I suspect the host coin is something other than a Panama cent. But it does appear to be a genuine dual country/double denomination error.

After more study of the edge I am going to say what you are seeing was caused by the metal flow and the plating ripped at the beads. The "denticles" are not raised and appear to be the zinc core showing through.

Very nice... yes, you can see traces of the original coin's inscription quite clearly -- an excellent addition to the collection, Zonad.

Very nice....I misunderstood your first post....I thought you meant the coin had the Canadian obverse and the Panamanian reverse. You are a man of few words Zonad!
