Yes, this coin is the real deal! It's pedigree could be checked very easy. It will sell for top $$$ because of just that and is a very beautiful, problem free coin! It is a coin from the Randall Hoard.

As stated, yes it's authentic.

It looks too good to be true, especially without a slab.

Many collectors of old copper don't like slabbing coins, especially EAC members.

The pictures are terrible.

Here's my N-10 - love the die cracks

Thanks for the heads up on this wonderful coin. I had wanted one of these forever and I jumped. She is now a member of the paleoguy collection!

Nice coin lousy picture, definitely N-10, as mentioned an example from the Randall hoars. Impressive pedigree and I know the last owner. If he has sold this one it's because he has an even better one. Frankly I think it sold cheap.

As for being too good to be true without a slab, slabs have been around less than 30 years. Where do you think all the wonder coins IN slabs came from? All the high grade coins didn't just spontaneously grow slabs the day PCGS opened for business. And not all the goodies have made there was to the services yet.
