Nice waterfall. I've seen thousands of waterfalls and that sure is a pretty one. Can't say I'd ever make a trip there for it but nice all the same.

At first I thought you were kidding, because we got better looking trout ponds in our back 40 than that so called attraction. Just got to get you guys out here to the Rockies, if you promise not to stay. We would love to have you Indiana folks as guests.

Hey OldDan, my post was most certainly tongue in cheek! I have traveled west on vacation every other year for the last 30 years. My Aunt lives in in Arizona, My sister in Colorado, my sister in law California and I have cousins sprinkled all over Wyoming! I have camped in Yosmite Valley near some "real Falls" and seen falls like my picture every few miles driving west in late spring. But remember, we are at about 600 feet of elevation, no coatal ranges, a few hundred miles west of the nearest real "hills" so we get excited about these things! We do have one great asset that you folks do not and that is the Great Lakes! Most of the big lakes out west are man made! Have a good one! Mike

The Rockies are my favorite place in the world. If I could find work I would have stayed every time I was out there! Getting my wife to go, well that would be another story. Just hope to get more time in the mountains before my time comes to depart this world! Closest to heaven I have ever been and yes, I have touched the clouds!

He's actually in the middle of moving. He's at that magical point where everthing at the old place is off and the new place isn't turned on yet.

I hope he's not moving to paradise. It promises to be real magical here until the end of November.

Hi everyone. National Dealer has been in a situation where he barely has cell phone reception and no internet access. He called and asked me to post to let everyone know that it will be another couple of days before he can re-enter the "civilized" world, so anyone who has been trying to reach him will start to get some responses within the week.

July 5th 2005

When do we send out a search party? Susan have you heard an update from National Dealer? I'm starting to get worried.

I've talked to him a couple of times. He can only call me when he's on the road since he doesn't get cell phone reception at his house. We're hoping by the end of this week that he'll be back with us. I hope so because he's getting royally p****d off at the cable and phone companies. I wouldn't want to be them if they don't do what they're supposed to....

Tell ND a phone call to the state consumer protection agency or the Public Service Commission is the biggest gun in the arsenal, at least it is, here in Indiana. They sure don't want you calling the Public Serivice Commission for anything! I found that out over 30 years ago and the threat still works today.

Perhaps it should also be pointed out that Decatur is the county
seat of Adams county and Adams is the county seat of Decatur county.
Apparently they were running out of names. Indianapolis is the center
of Indiana but if you visit you'll know why they call it Naptown and
465 the Nappass.

I will have to correct you on that one! Greensburg is the county seat of Decatur county and Adams, which is my name, lives within two miles of the town of Adams. I always wanted to change the signs on the old highway out front directing folks to the town of Adams and just put them a little farther down the road, on each side of my house, with the arrows pointing here! Sounds like a plan to me!

I'll be darned. I was born in Decatur and am a little familiar
with Adams county. Apparently not enough.

ND, Please tell who ever is causing this big gap in your ability to communicate with us that enough is enough! I hope this is not hurting your final weeks of getting Coinfest launched. Hurry home, Mike

You guys are so great. I have posted an update, and will let all the horror stories stay out of the public domain. Anyone remember that old saying about "If you have nothing nice to say?"
I finally have phone and internet service at the house. (temporary). All should be close to permanent by Friday. Of course, comcast still has to return and bury the cable. It got fried in the lightning strike.
For Mike, Terry, Susan, Bobby, and Don, I am so sorry that all this mess got in the way of what we were doing outside of the forum. Just a lot of beyond stupid things happened, that no one could have predicted.
I am still amazed at the levels of stupidity reached by some of the folks here.
Just so everyone knows, I was not kidnapped by lovely aliens from Venus, wasn't wandering through the Twilight Zone, just stuck out here in Slower, Delaware. Oops, I mean lower Delaware.
If anyone has a friend high up in Verizon, please tell them that I NEED DSL.
I know that cable is faster, and maybe even better, but that is only if the darn thing works. I can sit here and watch the cable light on my modem come and go. It may have something to do with the fact that the cable is running through my yard instead of being buried in it.
Anyways, for all of you that have said nice things, I really appreciate it. I should be back online by Friday. Just keep the fingers crossed. Rub the rabbits foot. Carry the four leaf clover. Whatever other thing is supposed to bring good luck. Prayers would be nice also. If nothing more than keeping me from ringing some poor comcast cable employees neck.
CoinFest is approaching fast. Everything is moving on the fast track with the final touches. The T-shirts are supposed to arrive today, so I will make a better update as soon as I can.

Thanks everyone. I have missed the forum very much. This move/vacation/nightmare will all be over soon.
