The biggest mystery is: WHO IS BIDDING THAT MUCH ON THIS JUNK?

you would think that's crazy.. but at the local auctions here in my town... I have seen some outrageous bidding...

The one that takes the cake is an AU '48 dollar going for $4500... There's been many others... now when I go to the local auctions.. I just buy the popcorn and enjoy the show!

Sometimes however with so many low end items even with the discount on the fees ebay must be giving ASYN... when you tack on the cost of the item as well as the free shipping I'm always curious how this company stays in business ...

I won't lie.. I have bought off of them.... (actually returned the item without any issues from them) .. and have gone back to buy some other coins..

We don't know at what price he gets all his stuff. And not all his items are low price like these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Canada-1938...ed1c3&_uhb=1 or this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Canada-207-...07510&_uhb=1

ASYN banned me from bidding on his stuff when he offered a coin that had obviously been cut off with shears and he posted it as a "clip". When I sent him a message advising that "Maybe your mother will buy it?" that was the last straw. I don't miss bidding on his stuff.

To be honest I buy from asyn. I have and will continue to do so. I am able to purchase American and Canadian junk silver for 16.02x face with free shipping for dimes and quarters and sometimes even halves.

For other coins their photos are generally too junky to determine anything but for run of the mill junk silver I say why not. Plus if they do ever have Ancients they are run of the mill late roman bronzes in poor condition.

I sometime buy from him, i.e. I won an auction for a 1964 silver dollar for $17, that I estimate the grade at EF40. It was advertised as another type of grade though, but I'm happy.

I won two coins from him a couple of years ago.

1871H Obv.1 quarter that ICCS graded MS64, paid 750$
1872 quarter that ICCS graded MS63, paid 333$

I have a couple of poor buys from him too, but overall, when careful, he sometimes has inexpensive treasures among the junk :)

I can't believe that 2.82 bid........I myself bid up to say 1.25 or even 1.32 max for a 73 gem..Normally I just bid 1.11 though......I don't understand the 3x's Asyn.paper,world,can..either- how can he sell so low?when someone said he had employee's to pay as well?I forget how many to pay and a lot of shipping..daily... Anyone here ever work for him?I only occasionally win a Paper,World , or canada coin..But must confess I bid a lot in a week.....I can get mad (Tear or whatever if not see), but still bid.....

Are yu saying some stuff of Asyn's could be Counterfeit ? I also would like to know where he gets so much stuff.......He has to be getting it from 20 or 50 different sources.
I wonder how much mint product is sold by our nations Post Office...(Both brances of government)...And how that compares with Asyn product....He breaks open sets steady... to sell by each....

Persitnt. I was only referring to the note above because it's unrealistic to call it "gem" but it has authenticity going for it. I guess a little dry humor. As far as stock, if I was a guessing man I would say that this vendor either participates or has access to "road show" stock. But that's strictly my opinion.

I bought 25 items from him int he last 12 months. Mostly stuff from mint sets but some older. Often the older stuff is overgraded in my opinion but I account for that in my bidding. He ships promptly. I only returned one item and had no trouble doing the return.
