XF-40ish. Looks like it might have been cleaned years ago and has toned back nicely. Of course it's a tough call based on pics.

Ok, thanks for your comments, so far. I have shot a few new pics, probably the lighting conditions were too poor so early in the morning. Hopefully these are better.

Quote: VG10-F12 based on photos. really Dave? This looks more like an XF to me, and I think I am seeing quite a bit of luster too.

Shield makes me go vf 35 but it could be that I look at a couple hundred bust halves every other day and they really are different when it comes to grading

Thank you all for your input. This is a recent purchase, and I wanted to get some opinions before I decide to keep it. Nobody commented on the attribution, but as mentioned this seems to be a JR-13. Grade wise, with your comments and comparison on with similar coins, I think I would agree with VF35, maybe EF40.
Thanks again,

I think I fall in the in the VF-30 range and I do believe it has been cleaned. As much as I hate cleaned coins, I would call this a keeper. Capped bust dimes aren't easy to find problem free especially in high VF range. It re-toned nicely. I like it.

Although I see it grading VF-35 in my opinion. Nice coin!
