How expensive for my lighting for the 1934 cent? It involves a desk lamp a small shipping box. a piece of dark fabric with the setup on top of a two drawer cabinet. Two sheets of white bond paper to diffuse the light and a box to keep the desk lamp from falling over.

Proofs a little different setup. Just a ramp to direct the light into the camera:

Ramp is a 2X2 with a piece of cardboard on the opened side then covered with dark material.

Well I will go shovel by the mailbox later so the mailman can get to it. Never really understood that... he isn't allowed to get out of his truck to get to the mailbox (so they tell me at the office) but they have mailmen that are on foot for their whole route... Oh and if it needs to be signed for he can walk up to my house and knock on my door... talk about messed up policies.

Coop - thanks for posting the setup and the products of your efforts. I've been playing with crude setups and an iPhone to see what it will yield. So far, not too bad, but not the quality others have mastered with similar, simple setups. Not a bad way to catalog your collection - and stick in the safety deposit box should a claim ever need to be made.

Enjoying the rainbows folks are snapping. I can't resist interestingly toned coins while I'm hunting. My 8 year old is really fascinated by the 'pink' pennies. We've grabbed a few of those more recently. Fun stuff!
