Sorry Wes, I got my acronyms mixed up . For those who may be unfamiliar; MPD stands for Misplaced Date RPD stands for Repunched Date

I know, you know, that I know that, still from the first set of photos only it could've been a MPD.
The re-punching is really out there, look how far over the six shifted from the first attempt. I had to really look before it just jumped out. The seven is easy to spot since there is a good chunk still showing from the first punch. Very neato!

There does appear to be (minor) "doubling" on the annulet and "IN GOD", a few of the leaves and the shield outline. Probably Machine Doubling.

Im going to cheat since I'm terrible at these and say knowing your set no less than an AU and wouldnt be surprised if it was as high as MS 62/63. Looks AU to me though and agree the shield is just a result of a weak strike not wear. Very weird pattern for something to wear like that

I think the surfaces looks somewhat lustrous too from the photos. I'm going to go with AU-53/55

I am glad I am not asked to grade this after it has been slabbed. The most common circumstance for this is to ask: 'Do you agree or disagree with the TPG?' I think it is much harder to offer an opinion on a coin that has already been slabbed. The plastic gets in the way, and the coin is hard to photograph fairly. That is certainly the case here. I have noticed that the fine bar detail on Shield nickels can be variable on a nominated grade; in my opinion, that makes them harder to grade. I agree with the grading opinions in this case.

Good points sel_69l, The OP image is taken by PCGS before it is placed into the slab, so it is the most accurate image available. The whole slab image was taken by me to portray the grade and variety given by PCGS.
The only time the coin is graded while in the slab is if it is being considered for crossover, that I am aware of.
Do I agree with the grade? Yes

Wow I'm really shocked I got this one right, after my initial edit of grade from EF45 to AU50! Color me surprised I thought I was going down in flames on this one, nice coin!
