Quote: Its my wife's Olympic torch that she carried prior to the 2002 Olympic games. Okay, that is just flat out awesome.

funny I've been watching some Canada 1976(?) $5 coins lately, and I don't even follow the Olympics! must be my numismatic 6th sense working wonders beyond its boundaries

Croatia, 1 kuna, 1996 - Olympics in Atlanta The 1996 Olympics were commemorated by quite a few countries on coins, but Croatia's actually circulated - not even the USA made circulating commemoratives for its own Olympics. This coin also tells you a bit about pronunciation in Serbo-Croatian (same language, two countries, both claim it as their own) - Olimpijske instead of Olympics. Pronounced in the South Slavic way, though, this word doesn't sound nearly as scary as it looks. Coins of 2 lipe and 5 lipa were also made with this design - leaving out all the other denominations for reasons unknown.
