Steel cent worth about 15 cents, Mercury dime worth about 2$ on a good day, full date Buffalo nickel worth about 50 cents on a good day and a Bicentennial Qtr worth about 25 cents as you still can find them in circulation. So, all in all, less than 3$ worth of coins for $19.95 is not a good deal for the Buyer. It's a darn good deal for PCH though!

I wouldnt buy anything from them. I didn't know they were even still around, and was unaware they sold things other than magazines up to this point. I also looked on their website and I think the best advice would be to run for the hills!

I actually have a set like that I got mixed in with a trade. They are all well circulated common coins. They are neat for someone really not into the hobby, but the value is base. Not worth the 19.95 mentioned before in my opinion.

I get their mailers all the time. It appears that if you ever order anything from mail order places you get on a list and that's when you get those Publishers Clearing House packages. I say packages because no longer do they just deal in magazines, but also all the STUFF you see on those TV adds. Also, just piles of stuff that doesn't sell well at stores. As to those coins. Yes, with almost every issue from them there is some sort of coins for sale. And usually just STUFF. All coins are worn excessively. Coins that just don't sell in normal places. STUFF you just would be really sorry if ordered.
Once you order anything from them, you'll get more garbage in the mail than you would think is possible. All such companies sell your name and address to other mail order places. Many have similar coin STUFF.

I bought three rolls of 'old' pennies of 'varying dates', and was greatly disappointed. I received three rolls of pennies with dates between 1961 and 1964. NO wheat backs. No OLD pennies. I was tricked into thinking they were OLD coins.

They should not be able to call a 50 year old coin "old". If they say the pennies are "old", then I would imagine they are wheats. Hopefully you did not spend too much money on it.

PCH is basically a private, unregulated lottery with sleazy "collector" side deals like the junk offered by The Bradford Exchange and others. Might as well throw your money away.

They are old, over 50 years old, and of a design they aren't making anymore. Those coins are probably older than more than half the people in this country.

It comes down to what you consider "old".

I purchased some coins from PCH lesson learned. They were very, very well circulated not much detail left on the coins. Coins are not anything like what is displayed on their site. Don't buy from PCH
