Quote: I blame the photo size and hosting restrictions. Funny how this has not stopped people posting photos it in many, many more topics.

Quote:I just realized I missed my yearly update in March. That would have been 7 years. Oops! Quote: I carry my piece nearly every time I leave the house, but that's not as much as it used to be, so there aren't too many changes to share. I am in the same situation. Working from home and only go out on night a week for dinner. Quote: I'll (try to remember to) post an update in March which would be 8 years. Excellent! Quote:In the meantime, maybe I should add a new piece seeing as how my current Morgan will not be changing much anytime soon. Sounds like a good idea.

Bueller? Bueller? Noone else in the last 6 months? I blame the photo size and hosting restrictions. It took me 20 minutes and switching between 2 computers using a flash drive so I could use my old version of Photoshop to save my pictures as a scale 2 and not higher otherwise the file would be over 300K for my post my 3 pictures about my ANA President Thomas Uram chanllenge coin. Not going to do it for 12 (24 if you count obverse and reverse or 32 if you count keychain pieces) current and retired pocket pieces.

Wow, the CCF image uploading problem had really gone bad since we deprecated the old CCF Image Optimizer. (I know it doesn't work in some browsers, especially on mobile, but for me on Windows Firefox it still seems to do the job.)

Funny - I have NEVER used the hosted 'optimizers' - I just use the default MS Windows Default 'Photos' APP to crop, rotate if needed, tilt (for minute alignments), and resizing all my images. It takes me 2 minutes for each image MAX to get it under the 300Kb restrictions. Easy Peazy!!

There are no shortage of ways to get your images under the limit and look good. I have always used Paint.net on Windows, but the easiest is Irfa nView. You can Download it and then read the Irfanview Tutorial. Running Linux? Almost every single distro has GIMP. If not, it is easy to add it. GIMP may take a little more skill, but if you are already using Linux, you do not mind. Almost every cell phone's camera can save optimized images if you take the time to change some settings. If it cannot, there are myriad options in the various app stores. Just search, check the reviews, enjoy. I am usually a little more diplomatic here, but complaining about the upload restriction just tells me you are lazy and cheap. Seriously, this is such a non-issue. Go sell your sorrow somewhere else.

I'll try to push a pic tomorrow (my first one) but I carry around an 1890 O Morgan dollar. It'd probably grade a FR 2 at best.

I carry a polished rock in my pocket. It looks like a curved tooth. Waiting in lines, it's distracting to rub my thumb over it and look around.
