hmm, might be junk on it or scratched.

Copy it and paste it in paint to see what I mean.
Then convert the color.

It is a tough call because of the marks on the cheek, ear and head. A third party grader may give this a damaged/original grade. So it would be a tough call grading from images. Sorry

I think your are over rating it. Unique is a rare coin. Maybe one in only 5 struck. The 1913 "V" nickel is unique. But this type of error is just a struck through error and damaged. Thousands of coins came from this die. Just a few with the Struck Through Grease error. But this is not unique. A simple cleaning would clear the die and sometimes the grease falls out on its own.

To me it would be worth one cent. The Grease Fill is not major and the damage would be something I would not like. ebay buyers might see it differently.

Oddly enough I had a roll of 1972 d cents that had about a 5 coin run where the of in USofA was struck through I put em in flips thinking they were cool but after learning about Struck Through Grease I just kinda have them now.. Keep for keeping sake I guess
