I just got 2 of them back from ANACS from their insider special free grading deal. Thanks ANACS The last one will go in the next time they run a special. I do think they made a mistake on the one labeled as "cleaned" as it is not cleaned but has roller damage wheel mark scratches on the obverse. I guess details grade is details grade.

Jack, you are on a roll! I don't think I've ever heard of any other members finding a clad Ken on quarter stock.
Edit: I seriously didn't intend for that pun.

It looks like I found one tonight. The coin has the correct diameter, but is as thin as a quarter and sounds kinda like a silver coin. Mine has some roller damage on the obverse . . .

Can you ID these by sight or are you weighing every coin you have?

Weight, lack of strength of the devices and thinness of the planchet would be the first clues.

Interesting. Are they mostly a novelty or is there a premium on these? Thanks for posting.

Agrippa - I noticed it when I opened up the roll and looked at the edges. It was an ender, but it was noticeable thinner. The edge also had the look of a '71 clad; you probably notice the 71's often don't look the same as the following years. Anyway, I was pulling it out of the stack and dropped it on the tabletop on accident . . . it sounded way off, not quite silver, but definitely not normal. I remembered Jack Jeckel's posts then got my scale and a quarter to compare it to for thickness.
Jimbucks - I have no idea of there is a premium for them.
Take care.

Congrats on your find Bad Karma. I'm glad one of my posts helped find another one. I have 5, you have 1, there was the Heritage auction coin, and the numismaster article mentions someone else has 1. 3 of mine have ender roller damage. Yours has ender roller damage. I wonder if the lighter weight of the coin causes it to rise to the top of the pile when being sorter and rolled or if it is just a tough luck coincidence.
