My first look said AU-50.
As for color I'm going with Brown.

Im leaning towards AU53 too--the dig across Liberty's cheek drops it a notch for me.

thanks for the guesses. the coin does have 4 FULL diamonds, they just didn't show up in the pics.

Mint State - details, the staple scratch kills it for me. Sad when that happens right in the main focal area too!

The reverse does have the look of some wear now that I see it on something other than a small smartphone screen, still a really nice coins other than the scratch. Maybe AU55 if that is rub I'm now seeing on the fields of the reverse.

AU 53. Down from an AU58 for the scratch by the ear. Nice coin.

thanks guys. Yeah, I was thinking about au58, maybe a deduction to au55 from the scratch. Understand though, these scratches are old and toned over....and the pictures are very large. I cannot even see the scratches in hand without a loupe....I am quite positive they would not result in a details grade
