I'm torn between AU 58 and MS 63. Could go either way. Nice coin and interesting variety.

Unfortunately, NGC does not recognize this variety on their labels.

I did submit a few varieties that will be labeled. (1871 Shallow N UNC, 1869/9 S-4 UNC, 1883 S-1 UNC, 1887 S-1 XF/AU)

As for this coin, I bet it will come back MS63BN or 64BN. I've had the advantage of viewing the coin in hand. While I think I get pretty good pictures, this coin has much more red than the pictures show. The marks on the reverse are heavier die lines, not scratches.

I'd be shocked if was less than 64RB. Good luck!

Technical AU-58, but will probably be bumped up to an MS-62/63.

No ebay tree for me on this one. Came straight off of a dealers website that does not sell on ebay. Bought last year for $370. Cant tell you which one though as that would give away a good source :)

Last 1871 I bought raw on ebay came back MS64BN. This one looks just as nice to me.

Well NGC just posted the grades this morning.......This coin got an MS63BN.

1869/9 S-4 MS63BN
1871 Shallow N - UNC details, cleaned
1883 S-1 UNC details altered color
1885 - MS64RB
1886 Type 1 MS63RB
1886 Type 2 MS63BN
1887 DDO S-1 AU50

Not a bad haul today. I figured the two with details grading were going to come back like that.
