Any serial under 1000 is considered a low serial number.

I would imagine this having a fair premium because there are only 9 possible for a single digit serial of that prefix. Imagine, 0.00009% chance of finding one! If I didn't count that wrong...

Value for a note like this can be very tough, since there are collectors out there who put together sets consisting of only one serial number. For example, someone putting together a set of serial number 0000004 notes, would be very interested in this, if they didn't have a polymer $50 already. The book value, for a note in this condition (Appears to be around VF) is $90: That is way too low in my opinion. I can't recall seeing a polymer note with a lower number for sale. Either way, I don't think you would have a problem finding a collector willing to pay at least $150, or possibly more for this note. |

Great! Not sure if ill hold it or sell. I hate to have something that could add to someone's set. I was most curious of value as I took it from my wife and she is always making fun of me for my hobby, and giving me crap for digging through her purse. Whose laughing now.hahahahaa

I'd hold on to it. If for some reason you don't like the number four, or if you'd prefer another number, than try to sell it to someone trying to complete a set!

For certification, think of it this way. Why would you want something certified? 1st, so people could know it's genuine, and 2nd, valuable bills can be priced appropriately according to grade.
Your bill is a typical circulated one, so it doesn't need to be certified for the purpose of grade (if it was uncirculated I'd get it certified so buyers would know for sure it's genuinely uncirculated). Spending that much money on certification and postage is not worth it.

i myself would pay 75-100, but it will hopefully gradually raise in value over the coarse of time, especially when they make new banknotes! very nice find! worth keeping for sure!

Vancouver... if you're willing to pay that much... please let me know if/when you ever want to buy some notes...
I don't think this note is worth that kind of premium.. nor will it ever be really... just because of the condition. But that's just my opinion.

The thing is, notes of this condition usually do exist in extremely crisp grades.
