I won't be there this time... I have a conflict with work...

I'll be in St. John's NFLD, having a few pints with some geologists...

SPP, do they have really good beer in NFL, or is it all imported from BC?

Hey tfred, do you know who I mean by Paul D.? He was the older, deaf gentleman at the Woodstock show. He attends every year I believe.

Does anyone know why the buyers fee is so high at 18%? I wanted to bid on a banknote for $500 but with 18% fee + GST + shipping it would be well over $600.

its like that on all icollector auctions. If you can mail, fax, or be there in person, its usually 15%. Still expensive. You need to budget another third of the price to cover the fees. Crazy!!

Lower Canada Auction, Moore's and TCNC have an 18% buyer's premium on iCollector. Bell's has a 20% premium.

I think some of us just back out the 18-20% in determining how much we want to bid.
