Brought the lighting up some as suggested and also tried a different background.

Coin is circulated, so it could have been cleaned before falling into my hands.

Seems like the plating process used for Canadian almost always appears somewhat odd when photographed.

My apologies,

The working distance is about 2 inches.

Black background (felt), different angle and a lighting change.

Is the representation of the coin, better or worse?

I'm pretty sure that the device can handle any type of coin/finish.

For right now, it is without question, the operator (me) who has to learn how to better use the tool in hand.

The device is the most versatile that I have tried, from close-up to full-coin in moments.

I'm learning about lighting and the effects it has on the device, which is super sensitive.

All of my images thus far, have been done without use of the units LED's (which I find harsh).

Very nice bellmaker. Nice new toy you have there! I especially like the Lincoln Penny. I'm sure you will enjoy learning how to master your "toy" and be a pro in no time!

The more I use it the happier I am, opens up a whole new way to enjoy the smaller details on coins.

full shots not so much (what is was NOT designed to do)

proof/mirror coins are tough no matter what

The one I have looks somewhat different and has a solid stand.

Looked at other listings from the seller and do see one that looks the same, but not sure on how to post a link.

Will see if I can borrow a camera and post a picture.
