This nickel looks "rough" in tone. This is GOOD! Nickel is tough to strike, and the details are just dandy. I see no abrasions to suggest cleaning. In short, it looks "REAL!"

Thank you all for your comments. I really like this coin, but sometimes I am still a bit unsure when it comes to cleaning and toning. Your encouraging comments have swung me over to a purchase a few minutes ago. This is the second coin I have posted here with a question in as many weeks. The collective knowledge on CCF is a great help. Thanks again!

I've seen my fair share of toned Buffaloes in my days and would say it looks natural to me. As a matter of fact, I own some myself with that identical toning from sitting in albums and folders.
