This was your original: I lightened up your picture a little to show better on a thumbnail/avatar. Are you okay with your name being associated with the changed version?

very interesting stuff,
are you doing this all freehand? or touching up an existing image?

originally yes I did, but here ones I do here now NO.. its all currently done semi automatically the art is picking the image and adjusting it so it will come out good. I started doing these by hand with my cintiq blurring over a existing images but then after someone commented on another board that same thing could be done with filters. I tried and got the same, well maybe actually better results. So I started playing around layers and filters to reduce the work down, now I just pick picture adjust colors and run a action script that preforms all the tasks. I do some adjustment color, brushes etc to make them punch. I do some tweaking about 30 layers and 60 different actions happen through filters and actions. just using photoshop oil painting filter will yield this for me the art is the tweaking..

Even with all the editing, this one looks a little odd. Was the original a Henning? also great new set of pics. I think my favorite is either the Merc or the Walker.

Wait a minute... Do you think we could request coins for you to draw for us?

I'm surprised no one else is using these things as avatars yet. I didn't really care for the large drawing of the large cent itself made by Ocala, but I gave it a shot as an avatar anyway, and it looks marvelous! It's different, classy, and unique as qn avatar.
<-------.
I will keep it for some time to come.
P.S. my favorite other coin so far is the reverse of the henning nickel.
Thanks again Ocala.

Ahhh the old stone mountain. I like how these are not real coins, but instead some surreal impression of one by an artist and freind.
Looks great.
My third avatar too. The firat two was bad. This one rocks..
