1970-S was struck both Business Strike and Proof. Concentrate on the date; the Proof issue that Wexler attributed as a Large Date hubbed over a Small shows best there. This coin is in good enough condition to show it clearly.

Just a normal 1970-S large date.....your mm position does not match that of the DDO you are referring to.

Hi CLS, Welcome to CCF

Your coin you posted is a large date as noted, one of the diagnostics is the '7' being lower than the rest of the date I hope that helps.

The proof that JDRMCB posted is the small date.

Can anyone tell me if it could possibly be a LD/SD DDO FS-102?

I lean "no" for yours as well; I expect to see much clearer doubling on the 7. This will help:

It is not FS-102.., location of the MM is off on your coin also. Keep in mind you'll get better responses if you start a new thread...and avoid confusion as well.

It is just a small date proof. (A nice find on it's own) But coppercoins doesn't list a LD/SD for this year.
