Depending on what waters you're swimming in pricewise, there are a few really outstanding EAC guys selling old copper. Good stuff, attributed accurately and priced fairly in the market. You need to be at least in the AU+ per coin market for them to be a really effective but they're quality sources.

EAC coins can get really expensive. Bought a 1812 large cent good for $60. from my LCS and he gave me a deal. As SsuperDdave said, Quote:

Not sure if he has stuff on ebay, but Tom Reynolds is solid. I have met and spoke to him a few times at a show in Milwaukee. He is really nice and has some high quality items. http://www.earlycoppers.com/ |

I watch indeetlib and friscomint1793 because they usually have a pretty good selection in the $150 and under range.

I know Tom personally.
Absolutely ethical, willing to sit and talk old copper and, he has some wonderful coins.
He likes them raw :-)

1. Hole punchers cut circles. 2. Valentine's day candy boxes are heart shaped, and they close fine. Still unresolved, but thank you for trying.  Edited by scottk

I have bought a coin or two from think182182 but like someone has said greenbaybob is another good midlevel guy. I have bought a few from him as well. Good luck on your hunt.

He likes them raw :-) I noticed that too. His collection (not sure I should even call it that as it's more like his inventory since it's for sale) is unreal. I am in awe at what he has at the shows. Really nice guy, down to earth...not like some of the older dealers that won't give you the time of the day. He doesn't seem to mind people kicking the tires so to speak. |

Yes, you can't go wrong with Tom Reynolds. Anything R-6 and up he'll have at least one example available.

Well, not to go off topic here, but if you're reading this thread, you're probably interested in buying old coppers online. This guy is not an ebay seller, as far as I know, but Tom Deck at Largecents.net has some really nice mid grade stuff for reasonable prices. He provides good photos and detailed descriptions. I just bought a coin from him. |
