Superb strike!!
Definitely from a fresh set of dies (EDS = early die state).
Believe MS65BN is spot on for the grade, maybe even a 66!

63-64BN if it has cartwheel luster. Your pictures need a little work but that's a good start! Welcome to CC!

Nice coin. Would Verdi-Care help this coin any? John1

Wow! what a great coin. MS-65 BN at least. The reverse spot is sorta ugly but I don't feel it warrants a details grade.

Wow , now I know why you fell in love with that strike ! carbon spot on reverse is a demon for all unc. Lincoln collectors. and there is nothing you can do to remove it. however you might be able to stop it from spreading further by applying just a small drop of Verdi-care on the spot. let it sit for 8-10 minutes then dab it dry with Q-TIP. ask badthad, maybe he has a better way of treating that rev. spot. MS-65RB .

This is as good a strike as you'll ever see on a Lincoln. Massive. 1911 Proofs don't come struck this well. This coin is one where the tiny stuff out by the rim, and the carbon spot on the reverse, have to be factored into grading. Been a while since I've had to start at 70 and count down towards a grade for a coin posted here, but this coin is that good.
I have it at 66BN. It's a couple tiny ticks and that carbon spot from Top Pop for the date. What a coin.

I am not worthy! OBV looks like a Matte Proof! REV has spot, but what can you do? If this was in my collection I would have to consider this MS-66 BN like some have said already. Just a fantastic coin!

edweather, I didn't take the photo. That's the photo from the seller...it's better than I can hope for.
Since I found this nice place, I'll have to start practicing taking photos of my coins.
panzaldi, yeah the detail is awesome. When I look at it, I see the weight of the Civil War on him. I haven't really seen that in Lincolns in my pocket.
Thanks
