I am very curious now. This certainly appears to be the same coin, and the seller involved in the auction has presented some rather sketchy stuff to the public including a 1937-D 3-leg which wouldn't pass inspection from someone who had seen one before. This coin, which by consensus is fake, is being presented as real.

No dogpiling will be tolerated.

This is a fake coin. You should go ahead and end your ebay listing.

How could anyone bid this Alibaba junk up to $200 with such lousy pics?

Sorry but this 1877 is a fake too! The "N" in ONE is not shallow. Another sucker with a $200 piece of junk.

Again, thanks again for taking a look at this "rare" coin.

How do you know it's rare and genuine? Have you had it certified & slabbed? Do you know something we don't or is this wishful thinking?
Whether the seller offers a return or not is irrelevant, There is always ebay protection which will always side with the buyer and then will go after the seller.

It was up to 780 bucks but someone retracted their bid.

It's now up to $3050! This will be a nice return on investment for the seller I'm sure!

I've reported him and encourage everyone else to do so. It's a blatant rip off. I sent a private message that it's a fake coin. He knows what it is. He's a rip off artist.

Did anyone notice the OP'S handle? Is he mocking the forum or referring to himself?

Time to let the issue rest, then.
