looks like you've been watcin for the notchin, lol, rhymes. in other words you got one!, but it is a DDO and not a DDR.

I have no idea what it is worth but WOW! THat is an amazing coin. I wonder how many special mint sets with this variety are out there.

Well the proof dies today are only used on 3,000 coins. But I don't know how many the SMS struck?

uruman you are on a roll today. by far this is the nicest one of the ones I've seen. all I got today was a split plating.

I got it last year when I both an unopened box from a friend of mine that had ordered from the mint in 1967 with five sms in it .

I was at home all day with a cold, and nothing else to do than play with my coins. Back to work tomorrow .

I would try the variety vista listings to see if you have a marker you can match up for first. If you could find a listing, then you know which one it is and not have to have it graded.

Make sure to click on the 1966 at the top of the thread. That will drop you down to a box about the listing you might want to read. There are several listed there. So it will take a little time. Only 37 different ones listed. LOL

I'm undecided between DDO-001 and DDO-007. it has the ear, profile split initials, and it has split serif on some of the stars under STATES and CA of America.would you say the split on IN GOD WE TRUSTS is medium?
is it eds,mds or lds ?

I saw an image in the CP guide that showed the initials and it linked it CONECA 013? You just have to keep looking an eliminating the ones that are not it. See if you can find a marker that matches your coin. You might even have another one that isn't listed yet.
