Well, it's not going up on summer FUN. they have a $5k minimum value for cosignments for that auction, which Sarah at Heritage didn't think it would value at. I'm not sure I want to cosign to their normal Signature auctions
So I might just have to send it to PCGS in Paris myself. Might look good with that eiffel tower label :P

Hmmm ... California gold ... Why not consider a west coast auction?

Bah, No Long Beach either. Heritage has the $5k cosignment limit on all their auctions, and I don't intend to part with any of my other more valuable coins.
So I guess this coin goes for a trip to Paris for starters, then we shall se what happens

The coin is now in the hands of the Paris office for the grading week starting April 22.
I'm a bit worried it will end up in a details slab, since the lamination flaw could be seen as edge damage.
Oh, well, I'll update the thread once I find out about the grade in a few weeks.

Well FINALLY it got graded. MS63! http://www.pcgs.com/cert/28731524I seriously hope they won't use THOSE pictures they show now as the official Trueview pics :P Very surprised it didn't go at least PL though But I'm still happy it didn't get the planchet flaw designation.

Excellent. If you put it on ebay again, I'd note in the description that ebay pulled this down twice raw. Throw it back at them a bit ;-) I just sent one along with an 1877 IHC to ANACS so there will be no argument they are real.

Yeah, this will end up on ebay. Don't want to cosign any of my other coins in order to make the $5k limit at Heritage. I need to get it back from over seas and Paris first, I wonder how long that will take. This was my first PCGS Europe submission And now, to celebrate my number of posts, I will turn up my speakers to 11 and play Iron Maiden, "The number of the beast"

Those pics could have been a bit better, though.
