If it is the real deal, it is worth a lot, but if not, it would be a damaged coin. Images of the devices near the clipped area would be helpful and the opposite rim area would be great image to see in a better image.

From what I can see, the rims nearest the cut look appropriate for a clip. However, due to what is called the Blakesly Effect, there should be visible weakening of the rim structure directly opposite the clip, and it seems that doesn't exist here.
So the jury remains out because there's insufficient photographic evidence to be sure either way. Clipped Lincoln Wheat Cents are rare enough to be worth faking.

Wow, I'd love to see clearer pictures. Specifically near "UNUM" and the bottom of the left wheat stock. Neat coin in some nice condition!

I'm aware that a strong-enough strike can offset the failure of the upsetting process, and the collar forms the rim itself. How strong is this strike? Quote:

I think it's safe to say that it is a genuine clip. I have yet to see a "faked" clip on an otherwise normal unc/au coin, that even remotely resembled a genuine error.
I would say this error is closer to the $30-35 range, but what are the odds that you'll find another of this date, mint in this condition, and cheaper? You may have to wait a long time. If you need it, buy it.
