I have bad eye site so no I cannot see it well....What does it mean? Is someone making it appear old and using nice end coins to lure in bidders?

These rolls are easily put together. There is no Santa Claus in the coin business. Most likely the roll contains one common BU CC, one common BU "O" mint dollar and 18 very common circulated dollars.

A 96% "Feedback" rating should tell you a lot, too.

Hopefully, your Dad does not bid on this stuff and saves his money for coins he can see and judge **before** spending his harder earned money.

Yeah, I had a feeling if it was too good to be true it probably was. I will just get my dad certified Morgans from my area dealer....We can all dream of scoring a legit roll and finding all Carson City Morgan's can't we.

Plus the price of another Mint State Morgan to have it shipped from Germany. Wonder how all these rolls of Morgans got to Germany?

Unopened in no way should be confused with bank sealed :)

"Patented may 31, 19?"

I wouldn't trust it.

According to the Amazon link posted above, the date would be 1921.

Morgan dollars were in their last year of production.

That Amazon guy wants $1,000 for an empty paper roll just because of that date... That should tell you something. Actually it screams it!

I would avoid them. We have had several discussions about these in the past.

Nailed it...

2 marginal end coins (probably cleaned)
18 well circulated middle coins
An unused old paper wrapper (or a reproduction of same)

You can buy the coins at any coin show - there will be piles of them for 15 20 25 maybe XFs at 35. If they seed with honest [an honest crook, go figure] MS60 Morgans, maybe 55 or 60 each.

So it's something other than the wrapper you could assemble for $500 (or less) at any coin show or LCS.
