I don't understand using an ms possible d/d Wheat cent but those are very interesting. Seems like it would be a lot of work just to cut out one piece.

Most likely a waterjet with aggregate in the flow.

I normally would not approve of this kind of thing happening to a coin, but I approve.

Not sure where I got this but I have a sort of pile of games on my computer. One of them says jigsaw puzzle. I can use the ones they supplied or simply take a photo of any coin and change it to a BMP file, enter it into that location in the computer and have as many of those type of puzzles I want. Never tried to do it but guess I could simply print one out, paste to cardboard and make my own.

Not enough pieces. Years back, my aunts presented me with two perfectly round jigsaw puzzles, one entitled "Little Red Riding Hood's Hood" and the second "Snow White in a Blizzard." They were exactly what they sounded like - one single color. I gave them back as gifts to them next Christmas, completed. Obsessive behavior has it's uses.

Those are cut with a scroll saw using a fine jewelers blade, I've done them with stamps stuck on a 1/8" piece of wood.

Quote: Not enough pieces. The minimum number of pieces for me is 2,500. Any less just is not challenging enough. These are interesting but definitely not something I would spend that kind of money for. I could buy 2 MS-64 Walking Liberty half dollars for my 1933 - 1947 extended short set and have lunch money left over for $200.00.

Saw this topic, looked at the auction, thought they were cool and ordered the Kennedy half. WARNING! It may be only 21 pieces, but they are VERY small! Do not take it apart unless you want to spend an hour putting it back together. Very small pieces. Old and fat fingers. Frustration. Cursing. But really cool looking when together. Worth it.
