I pulled out an almost full roll of culls that thankfully are still legal tender because they are worthless from a collecting stand point. They would be good for practicing clean techniques on though. The ones I put in tubes are from VF to BU. I'm going camping next week so I'll have some time to go through them better.
In my opinion, you got a fantastic deal. Just the $6 in mercs and the $6 in 64 Kennedy halves has a street value of $180 around these parts. I am definitely jelly. very jelly
That's awesome. Christmas came early for you. What fun to go through all these coins~! I think you need to take your friend out to Starbucks, or a local pub for a brew. Whatever is your pleasure. That was a nice tip he gave you
I took everything to the campground, but it was a perfect weekend weather wise. Plus the beer was exceptionally cold and the fish were biting. I'm thinking now this will be a winter project. My free time is severely limited due to work and I still have about 10 cord of wood that for some reason is refusing to split itself.
I love dealers "cull" bags. They are hilarious sometimes. You never know what you'll find, because often times dealers throw "dateless" buffalos into these bags, and they really often times aren't dateless buffs.
I dug through my LCS's "cull/dateless" buffalo jar several days ago and pulled out a beautiful 1917 VF nickel. I don't even know how or why that got into there.

The phone rings at FBI headquarters. "Hello? I'm calling to report my neighbor, Clifford. He is hiding marijuana inside his firewood!" "Thank you very much for the call, sir." The next day, FBI agents descend on the neighbor's house. They search the shed where the firewood is kept. Using axes, they bust open every piece of wood, but find no marijuana. They swear at the neighbors and leave. The phone rings at the neighbors house. "Hey, Clifford, did the FBI come?" "Yep." "Did they chop your firewood?" "Yep." "Great, now it's your turn to call. I need my garden plowed."
