Wonder why they didn't decide to release these on 9/11?

Meh. Maybe.

Cheap price, nice and all, but I just don't like the dollar coins in business grade, even uncirculated. Proofs, maybe.

I wonder if they removed the bill with serial number 91100911, or will that be given randomly?

What about 91191191? Or 91100119?

Bill collectors already seek our weird variations of serial numbers. 91100119 would be what they call a RADAR bill. I'm sure anything with any significance will carry a premium.

Curious to see what the initial demand will be for these. I'll probably go ahead and order when they go on sale so I don't forget about them.

I don't collect $1 coins but I'm tempted. Will this be the lowest minted Sacagawea dollar aside from the 2000 Cheerios one?

No, last year's Enhanced Uncirculated $1 coin in the 2014 Coin & Currency set (50,000 minted) beats the 2015 set by 40k.

Also, even though the obverse still bears Sacagawea's likeness, technically these golden dollars are called "Native American" dollars since 2009. This has to do with the reverse changing designs every year.
