I don't have the camera at present (it's not mine), so maybe a description might not go astray until the camera's available.
What I call a 'folded rim', or 'rim fold' occurs when for whatever reason one area of the coin ends up with an edge that's unusually high & this edge 'folds' over on to the rim. I believe they're caused by a 'collar clash' during the minting process.
The result is a bit similar to a Rim
Cud, but does not cover the entire width of the rim. Some are a bit like a oval that's been pulled from both ends, wider in the middle & tapering on both ends., others are just uneven shapes & blobby looking.
