Nancy,
I have been very lucky and found two 'wavys' in last year. But, I don't have a 2000 $1 mule (maybe one day).

I manage to find another Ram's head night night when I searched through $200 worth of 50c pieces. From the $200 I kept 1973 (5 kept), Tasmania COF (1), NSW COF (1), Royal Visit (1) and the Ram's Head (1). Not many really.

I also did some 20c piece and I found a 1966 20c but it is hard to tell if it's a wavy 2. Put it this way, it's not as clear cut as some of the others I have found if it is! I might have to put some pictures of the wavy's up and some that aren't to try and confirm if it is or not.

justa...It's going to take a couple extra days for your coins to arrive.

You wouldn't believe it but Aust Post delivered them back to ME today.

There's a tiny return address sticker on the back of the envelope & they decided that was the delivery address.

I've added a big TO on the front & a similar FROM on the back, so hopefully they'll get it right next time. I'll post them again tomorrow.

My apologies, but it's beyond my control.

I have had the same problem with mail being returned. They use scanners and optical character recognition to sort into grouped postcodes. If a letter is upside down -guess what? That's right, the mail centre sends it right back to your post office.

Jeff, The sticker with my address on it is only 50mm x 15mm. The actual writing is only 27mm x 7mm. They'd just about need a loupe to read it. You'll see what I mean when you get your coins.

justa, I re-posted it today, I hope it doesn't boomerang again.

justa...Guess what I found in my letter box today. Yep, You got it in one . That rotten Boomerang letter bounced back gain!

I can't believe it. I'm taking it to the Post Office tomorrow to see if the staff can explain why this is happening.

I'll be taking a thick black pen so I can block out my sticker, but I want them to see how small it is first.

I've used over 20 of these little address stickers & this is the first time I've encountered this problem. All my other letters have been delivered.

I noticed the part of the sticker with my postcode on it has been torn out?

I'll let you know what the outcome is.

I hope I get it sorted once & for all today. For heaven's sake, how many times does a person have to post one letter.

I hope it's only three.

Apparently....the first time it was sorted incorrectly a very pale orange bar code was printed along both sides of the envelope & as long as that was showing it would keep coming back to me.

The lady at the PO covered it with white out, and we scribbled out (not very well) my return address sticker, so with a little bit of luck & a lot of imagination, you should receive it next week.

At least I now know what to do to break the cycle.
