They will probably place my photo in all the coin shops and the Mint in Australia just to remind the folks down there how much I care about their economy!!!

My picture will be right alongside Terry's. I also have spent a bunch on beautiful Australian coinage lately.

Just imagine, Gary and I on the Australian wall of fame some where in the Outback? Guess we will have to venture down that way and autograph them?

To make it to our hall of fame you must first learn how to use a "woomera" (Aboriginal language for a boomerang).RG will be able to provide you with some pointers...

I will shortly be posting a picture of this famous wall It is located on the side of my Dunny Picture found - Picture to follow- (I am having computer problems- maybe Lim has a picture he can post ) But Here is a description of where the wall is located My Dunny The dunny or loo is derived from the Old English word "hleow" which means a small shelter. In reality, it is the local slang for an outhouse toilet located in the backyard. Together with the Hills clothes hoist, BBQ and Victa mover, the Aussie dunny is part of Aussie heritage. It is usually constructed over a large hole dug into the ground.(before the advent of the WC although still used today in the remote outback where septic tanks/water supply is not available) A timber and iron construction is then placed over the hole. The humble toilet seat was made from one slab of timber, the center cutout was used as a bread board! When the hole in the ground filled up, a new hole is dug out. The old one is simply covered up! Imagine finding one in the desert in the heat of summer where the temperature can be 120 - 130 F (50 - 60 C) ! I am designing one that is coin operated so I can collect all of your coins- It will only accept Proofs and Uncirculated coins of Australia

Hey lim118 and all of Australia I got my first set of 1992 Masterpieces in Silver this morning and all I can say is WOW!!! UNBELIEVABLE! I now have a new crown jewel in my foreign collection and these babies will stay here till the day I die. My wife actually got very excited when I opened the set and NOW she claims the other set coming as HERS? Now what do I do?

I am glad to hear you like this set Terry..... IMHO, it is the best of all the Masterpieces series so far. If this one can take your breath away, the GOLD SET will make your heart skip a few beats. Given a CV of AUD$2,350.00 it is not really that expensive when you take into consideration there are more than 3ozs of gold in this set (coins are 16.95 grams each and the medallion is 33.95 grams).Problem will be finding one as only 1,045 sets were minted. Perhaps you can suggest to "she who must be obeyed" to buy the gold set and then exchange with her one of your silver ones..

She is a coin collector so I know now she won't buy in to that one! Do you know the total mintage of the 92 Masterpieces in Silver as it is not in the C.O.A. with the set. My serial number is in the 13,000's?
