MS65. I see some die polish lines, so the coins has a nice mirror finish in the fields. The coin has a shot at PL. If the coin grades MS 65 PL, it is a big dollar coin. If the coin does not make PL, it just barley missed. Did this coin get sent in for grading with your 10 coins?

Yes it did. There are a couple of nasty marks, but they're out of the way, and I'm hoping the grader misses it/them....but not likely. I'm thinking PL, but maybe 64 at best.

I think that nasty on the reverse may limit you to 64 but it sure has the cheek of a 65. I hope you get the PL designation.

I think, considering how clean the cheek is, that it could squeak out MS-65. It does appear to have PL qualities, too. It's a beautiful coin, no matter what the final grade may be.

What's going on at 8 o clock on the reverse? Assuming that is no big deal and the hairlines under the face aren't indicative of a cleaning/wiping, I'd say MS65+, maybe PL.

8 o'clock on the reverse? That's a gouge, one of the nasties. Oh, wait a second, what gouge, I don't see any gouge. Thanks for the comments. Had it professionally photographed by Todd at BluCC photos. He's the man with Morgans.

MS-64, that scrape on reverse at 8 O'Clock is a killer as is the hair line scratches on the obverse.

Not PL. Slightly PL though. I'd say 64. A NICE morgan though.

My be some photographic wizardry but I'm thinking a solid MS-65 for this coin. Some flaws but they are well outside of the key focal areas.
