I'll be there Saturday morning walking around. I'm from the east coast, but will be out there visiting my son and taking in a few hockey games. Looking forward to it.

Is this bigger than the Calgary coin show? I'm feeling pretty excited!

Matt said "It's definitely not Canada's largest show (TOREX or another show in eastern Canada has that honor). But I've heard from many collectors and dealers alike that it is the best one in western Canada." It is biggest and even the Saskatoon show is larger than Torex.

I stand corrected! I've never been to TOREX, figured it would be bigger.
Either way, new/larger location for the Edmonton show this year will make it even bigger than previous years :)

Torex started losing steam 7-8 years ago when they moved from downtown to the airport. Then the Queen of Canadian numismatics died and her son took over. It's been downhill since then as Brian just doesn't have what it takes. We used to have 12-15 guys or more from the old CCRS site that met there every Torex, but we all quit going 4-5 years ago when we also all quit the CCRS site. Now, we in the T.O. area go to the CoinExpos that get better each time.

Coin Expo is probably one of the bigger shows in Canada (and most certainly my favourite), Nuphilex in Montreal is also quite large.

I wish I could go. My family is going to Edmonton with friends this weekend for a paintball tournament but I unfortunately have work.

Almost at the last minute I decided to go, more out of curiosity than looking flor anything in particular. I was really impressed, lots of vendor tables, friendly folk and plenty of attendees. Stopped over the appraisal table and also got a second opinion on a couple coins I had brought. Lighthouse had a table set up as well, huge selection of supplies. All in all I thought it was absolutely great, glad I went!

Yes, it will be in the same location in the spring as well. I believe the dates are March 12th & 13th.
I think the attendance was slightly higher that the previous two shows. Nice weather on Saturday helped. I heard Saturday's attendance was 650. I'd guess Sunday brought another 300-400.
